Electric Boom Lift Attachments - Type "E" trucks meet the lowest standards for fire and electrical hazards. This is actually the most common designation used for electric forklifts. Forklifts described as type "E" cannot be used in dangerous areas. Type "ES" lift trucks meet all the standards of Type "E" trucks and have other tools in order to avoid the emission of sparks and control the surface temperature of lift truck components.

The more specialized lift trucks are the type "ES" electric vehicle and these are not normally accessible. Type "EE" forklifts meet all the standards of the ES and E model and have all electrical motor and spark producing parts totally enclosed.
